The Pntoo PT-L200 handheld laser stroboscope adopts two core technologies,
persistence of vision and infrared laser color difference sensing, to resolve the issue of indistinct visual observation of high-speed printing rollers with bare eyes.
Human eyes retain visual images for roughly 1/24 of a second.
When the flashing frequency of the instrument perfectly matches the rotation cycle of the roller,
the roller will be illuminated at the identical phase every full rotation, resulting in a visually static effect.
Defects including register deviation, damaged dots, missing printing and doctor blade streaks can be seen clearly.
Different from conventional manually adjustable stroboscopes,
this model is equipped with an integrated color difference sensing module.
Once the infrared laser irradiates areas with distinct color contrast on printed patterns,
it automatically captures motion pulses of the patterns, computes the real-time rotating speed of the roller instantly,
and adjusts the LED flash frequency within milliseconds, with frequency accuracy reaching ±0.01%.
No repeated manual parameter adjustment is needed during acceleration and deceleration of the printing machine.
Fitted with a voltage-stabilized LED light source, the equipment features short-pulse flashing free of motion blur,
low heat output and high luminance. A fully charged lithium battery enables 6 hours of uninterrupted handheld operation,
applicable to all flexographic, gravure and rotary label printing scenarios.

● Battery Verification: Long press the power button to turn on the device and check the battery icon on the LCD screen.
Recharge the device when the battery level is low to prevent unexpected power-off that interrupts inspection.
● Environmental Calibration: Avoid direct strong light in the workshop. Keep the roller surface clean.
Affix a small amount of high-contrast markers on light-colored prints to improve laser recognition sensitivity.
● Mode Pre-Confirmation: The body is equipped with dual-mode buttons for Manual / Laser Auto mode.
Prioritize Laser Auto Tracking Mode for high-speed roller inspection.

III. Standard Operating Procedure for Automatic Frequency Tracking of High-Speed Rollers
● Switch to Laser Mode After powering on, long and short press the "M" key.
Under trigger function, press the "÷" key to select "Laser" mode, then press the "M" key to exit settings.
At this time, the infrared laser spot at the front of the device stays lit, entering recognition standby state.
● Align Laser with Areas of Distinct Color Contrast Hold the device around 30cm away from the roller paper surface at a vertical angle,
and steadily place the red laser spot on patterns with obvious color contrast.
Do not aim at blank base paper, otherwise motion signals cannot be captured.
● Wait for Automatic Synchronization and Freeze Frame After the laser identifies pattern pulses,
the screen refreshes the real-time roller speed (unit: FPM). The roller image will be completely static within 2–3 seconds.
If double images appear, fine-tune the holding angle to let the light spot fully cover a single printing unit for stable synchronization.
● Dynamic Speed Change Follow-Up Test Manually raise or lower the linear speed of the printing machine.
The speed reading on the instrument will change synchronously while the roller image remains static without manual frequency adjustment,
adapting to production conditions such as order change and speed increase.
● Defect Inspection & Parameter Storage Check color register offset, doctor blade streaks,
ink bars and roller runout under frozen view.
Short press the storage key before shutdown to automatically save the current roller speed parameter for one-click recall at next startup.

IV. Quick Troubleshooting Guide (Practical Tips for Printing Workshops)
● Laser fails to recognize patterns and images remain blurry continuously
Causes: Light spot falls on blank areas; strong ambient light interference
Solutions: Move the light spot to regions with obvious color contrast; block strong side light.
● Synchronization lost after printing machine speed-up
Causes: Excessive detection distance; laser offset
Solutions: Shorten detection distance, keep the light spot locked on patterns continuously; press the "●" key to lock the current frequency.
● Slow image drift This is a normal phenomenon.
Slight drift indicates a tiny difference between rotating speed and flash frequency.
Realign the laser to restore full static effect.

V. Industrial Application Value: Loss Reduction & Quality Control Efficiency Improvement
High-speed rotary printing runs at hundreds of meters per minute.
Conventional offline sampling consumes time and materials.
The Pntoo PT-L200 handheld laser stroboscope requires no machine shutdown or speed reduction.
Automatic laser frequency tracking eliminates repeated frequency tuning.
A single operator can complete full-line roller inspection, detect register defects and roller wear in advance,
effectively cutting waste rate of paper and ink. It is suitable for daily quality control of small and medium printing factories.
